Rock ‘N’ Pole Rocks!!

You ever have problems working out? Finding something that you enjoy yet actually works?
This blog is for all the ladies out there who want the perfect alternative to a gym or those annoying dance workout videos you think might be fun at first and end up being a complete disaster!

Word of the wise for the GUYS!!
This is for you too! Who doesn’t want a girl that stays in shape and can rock a pole…not to mention all the stretching and flexibility it gives you, so spread the word!

A lot of people when they think of a “pole” or “pole dancing” think of strippers, and you’re right! That’s where it came from and that’s who uses it the most (well actually these days most of them don’t..but anyway) you don’t have to take of your clothes to pole dance! Some people actually call it “pole art” and there are actual competitions and shows once you have enough experience you can be a part of! (Check out this site  http://poleart.org/)

Now getting to the best part! Pole dancing takes a lot of hard work just like anything else that would get you into shape, BUT it is A LOT more fun and it helps boost your confidence!  You can do it at home in your pj’s or sexy lingerie, you could even do it naked if you wanted.

To start off there are two options:

1) Buy a pole and teach yourself!

2) Buy lessons (…and then buy a pole for at home!)

Pole’s range from about $250 t0 maybe $600, you can get them in silver, chrome, solid colours or custom painted!
Pole’s come in different sizes, length and width! You can also get poles that spin but you shouldn’t start off with one of those! The most important part of choosing a pole are the bases! You don’t want to buy a pole you have to screw to your floor or ceiling, it can be a very messy procedure and you ruin whatever you screw it to! You can also find poles with a large base that do not attach to the ceiling, these can be good but I don’t recommend that for a beginner either! Find a pole that’s held up by pressure, it should have a rubber ring around each base, these are also very easy to put up!

The reason my post is called Rock ‘N’ Pole, is because it is REALLY hard to teach yourself to pole dance alone and also to work out your body properly so you do not get hurt! I recommend Lori! She has her own personal studio in her house and it’s fantastic! It’s one on one so you learn everything at your own pace, you can bring your own music or listen to well Rock while you pole! Lori is a great teacher and friend, she holds events and parties and you WILL have a great time!
Lori will teach you how to work out your body and you will feel parts of you ache that you didn’t know even existed before, it’s a great feeling!

If you’re a little unsure if that’s what you want, book her for a party with some friends or just try a single lesson!

Here are some links to get in touch with her:

Seriously! Get to it! You know you want to, and its worth it!

Let me know if you try it!

P.s. If you are interested in buying a pole, Lori sells poles, you can get one in a deal with lessons or you can go to the Stagg Shoppe or order one online!  (Note: I have one from the Stagg Shoppe, I think they are a little cheaper, but if you have the money I recommend getting one from Lori as they are better poles!)

Cheers xo
