What we live for…

You know that moment in life when you meet a person and you never know why, but for some reason you just have that moment, maybe a conversation, maybe just a glance, but you never forget that moment. Sometimes it’s just one of those great little things where you always wonder what would have happened if you ever see that person again, but sometimes, if you’re lucky, you do see that person again, and that moment, happens over and over. That is what I call true love. Love these days is highly under rated, people see it in the movies, in books and if you’re lucky in some crazy old couple sitting on benches in the park or riding their scooters around town somewhere. As a child we learn through society that people live for love and that it’s the most amazing feeling in the world, but no one really knows what love is, they say you will know it when it’s there, but that I think is the problem. Until you’ve found true love, you’re always left wondering “Is this really it?” When you’re young you have crushes, you adore the first person you hold hands with or kiss or even have your first dance, something new is always intriguing and to want more of something so new and so good is at the least one of the most humanly instincts I can think of. When I was a child, I thought I loved a lot of people, I thought my heart was broken and I thought I broke a few myself, as I started getting older, I just didn’t want to experience that anymore, no one likes the thought of breaking someone’s heart and even worse, no one likes constantly feeling confused. I’m the kind of person who lives off of quotes and takes every single one I read into deep consideration and I try my hardest to empathize with the one responsible for these wonderful words of wisdom. Throughout observations and a lot of quotes, I realized that when they say you will know, they were not exaggerating! I then came up with one of my first rules of life, “If it’s important, if it’s a maybe, it’s a no!” Some people might think that that’s a little harsh but when you really think about it, if it’s something important, especially your life, your heart, who wants to settle for a maybe? Even worse than that is when you’ve already let yourself into a situation, then you realize it doesn’t make you as happy as you thought it should, but you stay anyway. Why? Out of habit? Out of pity? Fear of being alone? The answers are endless but really, you’re just waiting for that moment that pushes you over the edge, an excuse to maybe make you feel less guilty but the truth is, everyone is different, people want different things and expressing your feelings, being your own person and independent are some of the most intense feelings you will know, good, bad, they will always be gratifying and more importantly it will always be what you want. No lies, No regret.

What Better Time? (Motivational Craft)

For most of my life, I can always remember my love for writing and have always tried to live by every inspirational/motivational quote I’ve ever heard! Sometimes I get spurts of creativity and decide to put my writing hand
to other good uses such as drawing or crafts.

Well lately I’ve been pretty un-motivated, myself being jobless since September, now in debt and slowly seem to be running out of everything in my life, not to mention the coma’s I continuously fall into rather than sleeping.

I decided enough was enough and hopefully this works as well as I plan it to, although it is mind over matter so, it will work if I want it to! right?

It’s 1 o’clock in the morning right now, but really when you’re inspired there is no better time!

OK, so your going to need:

  • 4 pieces of scrap booking paper -or- a piece of poster board
  • Gel pens, markers (anything you’d like to decorate with)
  • Scissors
  • Construction paper
  • Glue stick and/or Tape
  • Mod-Podge (optional)
  • Anything extra (funny/motivational pictures etc.)

Tip: If you don’t have time to write every quote or have messy writing, you can always type it out on the computer and then print it off and glue each quote to a piece of construction paper!

*I’m using 2 black and 2 white pieces of scrap booking paper. I placed them in a square on my wall so that the same colour squares are diagonal from each other.

*Write (or type) all of the quotes you would like to use onto the construction paper and cut them out separately, arrange them so they all fit and glue/tape your heart out!

*I’m using the black construction paper for my quotes, and the white construction paper where I put my pictures.

*I’m also adding a little extra to help myself keep a better sleep pattern, I’m adding a to do before bed list in the white squares. You are welcome to do the same, or put another list of daily chores or activities you may need to remind yourself to do!

This is what my list looks like:

  1. NO food or caffeine 3 hours before bed.
  2. Wash face & brush teeth.
  3. Have a short bath with a single glass of wine, relaxing music and candles.
  4. Read for 20-30 min. (so you can dry off)
  5. Turn on relaxing sounds/sleep cd.
  6. Set alarm clock
  7. Sleep.

I may also add a morning list as well because routine really does help one get things done and keep’s you positive and sane! I’ll post it up here if I change my mind.

*The Mod-Podge is like a glue/sealant, you can mix it with glitter and cover your squares with it, it holds it together better, adds shimmer and looks neater!

When I’m finished I’ll upload a picture onto this blog!
